Larry started his career as an engineer in communications systems research, product development, and engineering management at Motorola, Inc. He became an early leader in the movement towards a more disciplined approach to the management of a firm’s knowledge when he was named the head of Knowledge Management at Motorola. In this role he pioneered cross-disciplinary and holistic approaches to improving business results through the creation, capture, and sharing of knowledge.
As Chief Learning Officer for the Cellular Division at Motorola Inc., The American Express Company, and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Larry has developed innovative approaches to leadership development, knowledge communities, and integrated talent management. As a senior human resource leader and well-known change architect, Larry has vast, multi-industry experience in large complex organizations. Greta Cairns is a Consulting Partner at SC Consulting Services, Inc. where she specializes in moving companies from a static state to more dynamic capabilities specifically within the areas of human resources and operations. Greta began her career as the Director of Training and Development with SCI Companies, a privately held Professional Employer Organization based out of Tampa, Florida. Her twenty years of increasing responsibilities within the HR Outsourcing arena provided multiple industry and multi-state experience across all organizational levels and companies of varied sizes.
Greta holds a M.S. in Education and also attended the PhD Program for Adult Education at the University of South Florida. Greta is a strategist with extensive history in partnering with senior management on facilitating positive change, designing value-added employee-oriented programs, improving operational performance, and retaining/developing top talent. She is a versatile HR generalist with proven success in developing and leading policies and procedures that engage employees, increase productivity and positively impact bottom-line results. She has the ability to leverage her background to work collaboratively with clients and internal management teams of clients on aligning human resource initiatives and functions with overall organizational vision and strategies.
Greta maintains a Group Exercise Certification through the Aerobic and Fitness Association of America, enjoys teaching spin classes, riding her Tennessee Walker, traveling and maintaining an active lifestyle. She has four adult children and resides in Atlanta, Georgia.
